Cyberbullying

One of the biggest social challenges faced by young Australians today is cyber-bullying.

Queensland's Department of Education approached Ravel to create a short series of animated videos to raise awareness of cyber-bullying in schools. Through engaging motion design, expressive character animation and visual storytelling, the videos explore how students are affected by online bullying.

Ravel worked with students during the development phase to guide the narrative and visual direction. This included the development of two distinct animation styles, tailored to different age groups. The Primary School videos feature vibrant colour palettes and playful character animation, designed to feel approachable to a younger audience. The Secondary School videos adopt a grittier visual tone with more subdued colour grading, atmospheric lighting, and mood-driven animation.

The team at Ravel hope these videos help young Australians more effectively deal with the devastating effects of cyber-bullying, and promote kindness online amongst schoolchildren.
