The Client

Marketing and Creative agency Social Tap, engaged Ravel to develop interactive 3D animations hosted on their client Collagenie’s website.  

The Challenge

Ravel was approached to develop animations that could be interacted with on the Collagenie website. When a visitor swiped between products, these animations would be replaced with new ones relevant to the product on-screen. Ravel was also tasked to design a ‘Genie’ mascot character based on the Collagenie logo. 

Ravel's Solution

Ravel approached animation using a mixture of Blender and Spline, the latter being an online development platform that allows 3D animation to be supplied as code to developers. After trials and errors, a slick production pipeline was solidified, with Ravel providing Social Tap’s developers animated sequences that changed based on user engagement. The result is a fun interactive website full of life and personality.
