The Client

The Department of Transport and Main Roads moves and connects people, places, goods and services safely, efficiently and effectively across Queensland. It plans, manages and delivers the state’s integrated transport environment to achieve sustainable transport solutions for road, rail, air and sea.

The Challenge

TMR was in the preliminary stages of overhauling public transport infrastructure in the Sunshine Coast region and wanted to communicate four projects underway to the public. The challenge for Ravel was that the type of infrastructure and transportation had not been finalised, so our team had to be creative in what was depicted in the videos.

Ravel's Solution

Ravel adapted TMR’s brand 2D graphics and iconography into a 3D environment. The brand’s highly stylised appearance worked to the project’s advantage, with infrastructure and transportation depicted indicatively, with an almost nebulous quality that still communicated sufficient information to the public. The four core videos were adapted into short form versions for use across social and digital platforms.
