The Client

SunCable is a world-leading, Australian renewable energy company committed to harnessing the abundant solar resources of the Northern Territory. In their development of subsea cable manufacturing, SunCable partnered with HATCH, an entrepreneurial company whose diverse teams combine vast engineering and business knowledge.

The Challenge

Subsea cable manufacturing is a highly complex, technical process. HATCH, on behalf of SunCable, engaged Ravel to conceptualise, script and produce a visually compelling animated explainer video that would break down the end to end manufacturing workflow. Designed as both an investor engagement asset and a public education tool, the animation needed to balance accuracy with clarity, while keeping in mind that the facilities depicted in the video did not yet exist.

Ravel's Solution

Ravel used stylised 2D animation and brand-aligned motion graphics to create a clear, engaging explainer video that delved deep into the subsea cable manufacturing process. Through strategic storytelling, simplified illustrations, animated diagrams and 3D visualisation, the video translated intricate engineering detail into accessible, audience friendly content.
